The membership campaign was launched on Monday with BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda making Prime Minister Narendra Modi a member of the party. Party state president Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary will make Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brijesh Pathak join the party in the Visvesvaraya auditorium on Tuesday morning. Along with this, the membership campaign will be launched. During this, State General Secretary (Organization) Dharampal Singh will be present.
On Monday, Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana formally joined the party at his residence in Lucknow. During this, membership in-charge of Maharajpur Assembly constituency of Kanpur, Vijay Kumar Awasthi and the divisional president of the Assembly were present.
State General Secretary Govind Narayan Shukla said that the membership campaign will be started at the district level on September 4 and 5. State government ministers and state officials will reach the district headquarters and hold press conferences and will launch the membership campaign at the district level through other programs.

On the launch of the membership drive in Delhi, CM Yogi wrote on social media on Monday that the BJP membership drive starting today is a movement to connect the individual with the spirit of Nation First, the resolve to serve the people, the vow of Antyodaya and the vision of a developed India-self-reliant India. All of us BJP workers should make this national task successful with full energy and commitment by assimilating PM Modi’s mantra of ‘Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’. Keep in mind that no house, person, class should be left out.
