Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the world market is waiting for our skills, innovation and technology in the textile sector. The global textile industry is today looking towards India with hopeful eyes. CM Yogi said that carpets worth Rs 17 thousand crore are exported from India. Out of this, 60 percent share is from Bhadohi, Mirzapur and Varanasi of UP.

Let us tell you that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated in the program on the last day of the four-day Bharat Tax 2024 organized at Pragati Maidan in Delhi on Thursday. Welcoming all the buyers and visitors to the UP Pavilion, Yogi thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for including UP as a partner in the program. He also talked to the craftsmen of UP participating in the exhibition. CM said that through this international program, the exhibition has been organized keeping in mind the needs of the past, future and present in the field of textile at Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi in Pragati Maidan of the national capital.

Special appreciation for the products of Uttar Pradesh

CM Yogi said that in Bharat Tex 2024, 20 exhibitors from Uttar Pradesh have participated in Yashobhoomi and 46 exhibitors have participated in Bharat Mandapam. Handicrafts, carpets and handloom products of Uttar Pradesh were especially appreciated by the buyers from across the country and the world.

Mention of strengthening the textile sector of UP

CM Yogi said that Prime Minister Modi has started PM Mitra Park Scheme at 7 places in the country. Under this, a mega textile park is going to be established in one thousand acres between Lucknow-Hardoi of UP. Yogi said that a lot of work has been done in the last seven years to promote Chikankari of Lucknow, Dari of Sitapur, Zari-Zardozi of Bareilly and carpet of Bhadohi. All these crafts are important means of employment generation.
