In a high-level meeting held on Thursday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the updated status of the ‘Family ID’ process being issued to every family unit in the state and gave necessary guidelines regarding making the benefits of this important scheme available to all families.

He said that family ID is being issued in the state in order to provide the benefits of government schemes to every family and to link at least one member of every family with employment. At present, 15.07 crore people from about 3.60 crore families residing in Uttar Pradesh are getting the benefit of National Food Security Scheme. The ration card number of these families is the family ID, while family ID has been issued to more than one lakh non-ration card holders.

For families who are not ration card holders https://familyid.up.gov.in There is a provision to get family ID by registering. This scheme should be promoted as much as possible. No family of the state should be deprived of it.

Under the One Family-One Identity Scheme, a unique identity is being issued to each family, which will establish a live comprehensive database of the family units of the state. This database will help in better management of beneficiary-oriented schemes, timely targeting, transparent operation and simplification of the system of providing 100 percent benefits of the scheme to eligible persons and making the benefits of government facilities available to the general public.

Family ID is for all the families of the state. 25 crore people should get its benefit. On the basis of the integrated database obtained through the family ID, families deprived of employment can be identified and proper employment opportunities can be provided to them on priority.

Link all beneficiary schemes to family ID

Chief Minister Yogi said that 76 schemes and services run by the central and state governments have been linked to the family ID. All the remaining beneficiary-oriented schemes should be linked to the family ID. The database of all the schemes run with the support of the central government should be obtained and linked to the family welfare pass book and family ID.

Aadhaar application and Aadhaar authentication should be made mandatory in online applications for all beneficiary-oriented (DBT) schemes and services. This will help in increasing the coverage of family ID. Aadhaar authentication should be done at the time of new admission in ITI, polytechnic and other higher education institutions, after which linkage should be done with family ID. There should not be unnecessary delay in issuing caste and income certificates. This process should be simplified.

Chief Minister Yogi said that a family passbook should be prepared showing the complete details of the benefits of government schemes being received by each family. Before issuing the passbook and family ID, all the information related to the family should be duly certified. All the concerned departments should cooperate in this.
