The body of the wife of a COD employee living in Krishna Green Palace Phase-2 in Rohta, Agra, Uttar Pradesh was found hanging from a noose in the room on Monday. The maternal family alleges that the husband killed his wife by strangulating her with a belt. The police is waiting for the post-mortem report.
Jitendra Kumar, posted in COD-509, lives in Rohta of Malpura police station area. Jitendra was married to Nidhi of Jagdishpura on March 10, 2016. They have a son and a daughter. On Monday morning, the police received information about Nidhi’s death. Nidhi’s uncle from her maternal side, former councilor Mahesh, told the police that her husband had an affair with another woman. The couple had been quarreling for the past 15 days.
He told that on Sunday night Nidhi called her sister and invited her home. She died in suspicious condition in the morning. There were injury marks on her body. One finger of her right hand was found cut. They suspect murder. According to Inspector in charge Malpura, the initial investigation suggests that the case is of suicide. Action will be taken on the basis of postmortem report and complaint.

Malpura police has taken the accused husband into custody. He is being questioned. Based on the allegations of the family, the police is trying to solve the mystery of murder or suicide. The husband is a government employee posted in the Central Ordnance Depot Workshop.
Police embroiled in border dispute
On receiving the information of the murder of the woman, Sadar and Malpura police got entangled in the border dispute. For three hours it could not be decided whose area it was. On receiving the information from the family, Sadar police reached first. The youth was taken into custody. Then, since it is a case of Malpura area, Malpura police is now investigating the case.
