Company closed more than 71 lakh WhatsApp accounts in India, do not make these mistakes


Social media giant WhatsApp has banned more than 71 lakh Indian accounts in the month of November last year. The company has taken this action under IT Rules 2021. Under this rule, all big social media companies have to release user safety report every month. Besides, complaints and action taken on them also have to be mentioned. Between November 1 and November 30 last year, the company has banned 71 lakh 96,000 accounts in India. Out of these, 19 lakh 54,000 accounts have been banned by the company under its own monitoring without any complaint.

So many complaints received in the month of November

In the month of November, WhatsApp received 8,841 complaints, out of which the company took action against 6. Every month the company releases user safety report. If you do not operate your account as per the terms and conditions of WhatsApp, your account may also be banned. If you are involved in nudity, scam, fraud, theft, any kind of activity against the country, then the company can ban your account at any time.

WhatsApp released new features for the safety of users

Last year, WhatsApp has added many new features to the app for the safety of users, which include chat lock, email address link, passkey etc. If you have not yet linked your email ID with your WhatsApp account, then definitely link it. By doing this you will be able to login to your account through email also. Apart from this, do not forget to set the Passkey also. It allows you to verify the account through fingerprint which increases the security of the account.
