After the death of nursing officer Khem Singh Saini in BHU Sir Sundarlal Hospital, the BHU administration issued a letter on September 17 to regularize him two years ago. Khem Singh Saini kept visiting the offices of the officers for his permanent employment while he was alive, but no one listened to him. Now an order has been issued to make him permanent from June 18, 2022. However, the strike of nursing officers is still going on, in which his wife along with his parents are also sitting.
Khem Singh Saini (32), son of Dharmendra Singh Saini, originally a resident of Gopinath in Bharatpur police station area of Rajasthan, was posted as a nursing officer in the hospital. After his death in the early hours of September 15 while on duty in the CCU of the superspeciality block of the BHU hospital, his body lay in the bathroom for more than three hours.
After keeping the body in the mortuary, the nursing officers are protesting outside the emergency. The nursing officers are on strike since Monday afternoon. His wife Reshma and parents along with their one and a half year old son are also sitting on the protest.
The wife and other nursing officers sitting on the protest said that her husband Khem Singh Saini had been making rounds for permanent appointment for the last three years. Not only was he not made permanent, his duty was also not performed by him. Khem Singh Saini was put on duty alone in the 17-bed CCU by the BHU hospital administration.
