Rahul Gandhi Letter to UK PM: Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Saturday (July 6) wrote a letter to Britain’s new Prime Minister Keir Starmer congratulating him on his election victory. In another letter, Rahul wished Conservative Party leader and former PM Rishi Sunak all the best for the future. In a letter to Sunak, he said that victory and defeat are an inevitable part of democracy. Both of these should be accepted happily.
In a letter to Starmer, Rahul said, “Congratulations on your spectacular victory in the election. This victory is a big achievement for the Labour Party and for you personally. During your campaign, you emphasized on economic growth with equality, better opportunities for all through strong social services and community empowerment. These are some issues that are clearly connected with the people of Britain. These show their aspirations for a bright future.”

The Congress leader further said in his letter, “Being committed to these ideals, I congratulate you and the people of Britain for supporting them. The victory of the Labor Party shows the power of politics that puts ordinary people first.” Rahul further said, “I also hope for the continued strengthening of bilateral relations between India and Britain. I wish you all the best for your tenure and hope to meet you in the coming times.”
What did Rahul say in the letter written to Rishi Sunak?
In a letter to Sunak, Rahul Gandhi praised him for his public service and commitment to the people of Britain. He said, “I would like to express my condolences on the recent election results. Victory and defeat are important parts of the journey of democracy.”
He said, “Your dedication towards public service and common people is commendable. I consider the efforts you made to strengthen the relations between India and Britain as important during your tenure as Prime Minister. I hope that you will continue your work of public service with your experience. I wish you all the best for the future.”
