On the first day of the session, the newly elected MPs took oath, which continued on the second day, Tuesday (25 June). On the second day of the proceedings of the 18th Lok Sabha, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi took oath as a member of the Lok Sabha. However, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi made a mistake during this time.

After taking the oath, Rahul Gandhi went straight to sign without meeting the Speaker. However, before he could go further, other Congress MPs reminded Rahul Gandhi that he had not met the Speaker. After this, Rahul Gandhi went back to the Speaker and greeted him.

Rahul Gandhi had brought a copy of the Constitution with him to take the oath of MP. During this, he showed the copy of the Constitution towards the ruling party and took oath as a Lok Sabha member. Rahul Gandhi also held a copy of the Constitution in one hand while taking the oath of MP. Rahul Gandhi is an MP from Rae Bareli seat of Uttar Pradesh.

Many SP MPs including Akhilesh Yadav took oath

On the second day of Lok Sabha proceedings, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav took oath as a member of the Lok Sabha. He is from Kannauj Lok Sabha Elections He has reached the Parliament after winning. While taking oath, he was holding a copy of the Constitution in his hand. Apart from Akhilesh Yadav, his wife and SP MP from Mainpuri Dimple Yadav took oath. Along with them, SP MP from Muzaffarnagar Mahendra Malik, party MP from Kairana Iqra Chaudhary, party’s Lok Sabha member from Firozabad Akshay Yadav, MP from Badaun Aditya Yadav and many other SP MPs took oath.
