Congress Slams Yogi Government Over Sambhal Incident Accuses BJP RSS of Fueling Communal Tensions

Sambhal Violence: Congress has expressed serious concern over the incident that happened in Sambhal. Chairman of the party’s media and publicity department Pawan Kheda said that the Chief Minister who gave the slogan of “Batenge to Katenge” Yogi Adityanath Uttar Pradesh cannot be called safe under the rule of. In the Sambhal incident, direct firing was done on the protesters, in which many people were injured. Congress alleges that this is a well-planned conspiracy by BJP and RSS, in which an attempt is being made to create instability in the society on religious grounds.

Pawan Kheda said that the job of the administration is to maintain peace and harmony, but the agenda of BJP and RSS is to divide the society. He has criticized the state government and administration for the violence in Sambhal incident.

‘No citizen is safe in UP’

In the press release issued by the party, it is written, no citizen of Uttar Pradesh is “SAFE” under the rule of Adityanath, who gave the condemnable slogan of “Batenge to Katenge”. This is evident from the very sensitive and serious incidents in Sambhal today. The way videos of direct firing on protesters have surfaced in Sambhal is the result of a well-planned conspiracy between Chief Minister Adityanath and BJP-RSS. In Western Uttar Pradesh, which has been a symbol of goodwill and harmony for years, three people were killed and many were injured under a conspiracy.”

BJP accused of spreading communal tension

Congress accused BJP of communal politics in this incident and said that party leaders have tried to build a wall between two communities in the name of religion. Congress termed it an organized conspiracy, whose aim is allegedly to create division in the society. He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Uttar Pradesh is poisoning the society with communalism for its political interests.

Pawan Kheda said that BJP’s aim regarding this matter was only to spoil the atmosphere and spread communal tension. Congress has appealed to BJP to give priority to the national interest.

‘Yogi Adityanath’s administration took people’s lives’

Congress said, “We say with full responsibility that the lives of the deceased have been taken by the Adityanath administration and only BJP-RSS are responsible for setting fire to the brotherhood in Sambhal. Modi, who treats the minority community as second-class citizens, said- It is public knowledge that Yogi’s government hastily filed a petition to spoil the atmosphere of Uttar Pradesh through Sambhal. “During the communal violence in 2007, the city was handed over to rioting elements.”

Congress said, “In this entire matter, BJP neither wanted to conduct the survey nor to stop it, its only objective was to end the brotherhood. Not taking any action against the unruly elements accompanying the survey team makes it clear that the by-elections in the state are not going well.” After this, the Yogi government has intensified the politics of violence and hatred, because many innocent people have lost their lives and more than two dozen people have been injured. Brother Spreading hatred and setting communal fire is the DNA of BJP-RSS, it is ingrained in their veins.”

Mention of Mohan Bhagwat’s statement

Pawan Kheda also mentioned the statement of RSS chief Mohan Bagwat, in which he had said that “what happened in history cannot be changed.” Kheda questioned whether the purpose of increasing tension between today’s Hindus and Muslims is only to spread communalism. He questioned the Modi government whether it would implement the talk of violence.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has appealed to maintain peace and unity in the society. He said that all people should take recourse to legal means and stay away from communalism. Congress has requested people to maintain peace and harmony in the society.
