In the villages of Aurai block area of the district which have been most affected, Lakhandei water is accumulated in the fields in many villages including Bishanpur, Mushari Tola, Rajkhand, Ramkhetari, Koriyahi and Dhasna. Due to which the problems of the farmers still persist. Due to which farmers are facing a big crisis. However, the district administration and agriculture department are continuously claiming to provide quick solution to the problem in this direction.
The embankment has been broken for several days
Let us tell you that the eastern embankment of Lakhandei next to the sluice gate in Aurai block area is broken by 50 feet and has not been rebuilt yet. Experts believe that due to this broken embankment, it will take at least two months for the water level to subside, hence sowing of wheat and other Rabi crops is being affected. Regarding this, local farmers Kaushalendra Yadav, Abhay Kumar, Manish Shahi, Mahesh Kumar and Mohd. Babar Alimi said that due to the breach of the embankment, there has been heavy water logging in the area and now if the embankment is not repaired soon. Due to this, sowing of Rabi crop is not possible.
