According to the study, quitting the contraceptive pill can reduce the risk of this disease. Scientists at Oxford University said that the risk of this disease is higher in older women than in girls in their 20s or younger.

Experts said that all types of progestogen-only contraceptives are associated with the same risk of breast cancer as combined oral contraceptives. The risk of oral pills is less in girls who are young. While older women are more prone to this. A combined contraceptive pill uses progesterone and estrogen to prevent the ovaries from releasing an egg each month. It is also 99.7 percent effective in preventing pregnancy.
