Prime minister Narendra Modi Under the leadership of the Union Cabinet, under the Multi-State Cooperative Societies Act, 2002, the decision has been taken to approve the establishment and promotion of national level Multi-State Cooperative Export Societies. After this decision, the support services will be given to the concerned ministry, its export related policy, plan, agency following the government approach.

The multi-state cooperative society will work keeping in mind all categories of exports. Its full emphasis will be on increasing exports from the cooperative sector. The committee will inquire about various export related schemes and policies of various ministries of the Government of India. Accordingly, taking the cooperation of the government, it will help the cooperatives. Agriculture and non-agriculture businessmen will also be able to take advantage of this.

Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (IFFCO), Krishak Bharti Cooperative Limited (KRIBHCO), National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Limited (NAFED), Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Limited (GCMMF) and National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) are the four major cooperatives in the country. There are co-operative societies. They have decided to help Rs 100 crore each for exports and make them promoter members for setting up a national level multi-state cooperative society. It will be expanded across the country.
