Corona Surge In China Center Covid Panel Chief NK Arora Chief Claims Don’t Panic In India COVID

Corona Surge in China: Amid rising corona in China, India has stepped up preparations. Mock drills took place in hospitals across the country on Tuesday (December 27). PM Narendra Modi And the chief ministers of the states also held a meeting with the health officials recently. Meanwhile, Dr. NK Arora, Chief of the Center’s Kovid Panel, said that there is no need to panic.

Talking to NDTV, Dr. NK Arora said, “India need not panic about the increasing corona in China. We just have to take precautions. There is a cocktail of viruses in China, which behaves on the basis of local epidemics.

Why is India not in danger?

Dr. NK Arora said that for 15 percent of Kovid cases in China omicron All variants of BF.7 are responsible. BN and BQ Series have 50 percent corona cases while SVV variants have 10 to 15 percent cases. This is the situation where India need not panic because we have got hybrid immunity through first, second, third wave and vaccine. Compared to this, China’s situation is worse because their vaccine is less effective.

Why compare with China?

Dr. NK Arora said that 97 percent of the people in India have got two doses of corona. Even children are safe because 96 percent of children below 12 years have been infected with corona. In such a situation, we are much safer than China.

Why are the preparations happening?

On the question regarding the preparation, Dr. NK Arora said that these steps are being taken as a precautionary measure. By the way, there is a lot of ambiguity about the current situation in China because how many cases and what is the status of vaccination? Nothing is clear about this.
