Corona Update: Corona started to scare again in Delhi, Chief Minister Kejriwal will hold a review meeting regarding preparations


Coronavirus Update: Once again there is a spurt in the cases of corona in Delhi. Seeing this, the Delhi government has become alert from now itself. Regarding this, Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj called an emergency meeting at the Delhi Secretariat on Thursday (March 30). During this, the preparedness of the hospitals to deal with Corona was reviewed. 

He said, "Corona cases are increasing in many states of India. In the advisory issued by the Central Government, it has been said about 6 states, where its cases are increasing. These include Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka.

It has been seen that after two-three weeks of increase in corona cases in Maharashtra, cases start increasing in Delhi as well." He said that Delhi’s hospitals are fully prepared to fight Corona.

The Health Minister of Delhi said, "The pattern of Metropolitan is the same. The way international flights come more in Mumbai, in the same way international flights come and go in Delhi too." They said, "We were getting signs of corona inside the sewage of Delhi for the last two-three weeks. We do tests daily inside the sewage, so that we can get some indications of corona."

‘Health department fully prepared’

Bhardwaj said, "The current situation of Corona in Delhi was reviewed. The situation is being monitored daily by the Health Department. The hospital administration has been instructed to maintain its preparations with full promptness. If needed, the number of covid beds can be increased to several thousand using the resources of the hospital and its surroundings like last time. The hospital is fully prepared to fight Corona this time also."

Positivity rate in Delhi is more than 10%

Health Minister said, "The positivity rate in the corona test inside Delhi is definitely more than 10%, but now very few tests are being conducted. This is the reason why the positivity rate is so visible." Bhardwaj said, "There is no need to panic more than this positivity rate. We have issued an advisory that those who have influenza or flu-like symptoms must wear masks. People visiting hospitals must also wear masks there." 

Kejriwal will hold a review meeting

He told, "Advisory has come from the center regarding mock drill,  But the Kejriwal government had already conducted a mock drill in Delhi. Under this, the preparations regarding oxygen cylinders and LMOs were reviewed inside Delhi.

Tomorrow i.e. Friday (March 31) at 12 noon, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has held a review meeting with the Health Department regarding the condition of Corona. Tomorrow the results of the mock drill will be shown to the Chief Minister through a presentation."
