Covid Cases In India: India has once again seen an increase in Covid cases. In the last three weeks, the cases of Kovid infection have increased continuously. Last week, 1898 new corona cases were recorded across the country. Although, the total number of cases is very less now, but the figures of increase in corona cases are definitely alerting.

The week ending last Sunday saw an increase of 63 per cent in the Corona case. While it saw an increase of 39 percent in the last week and 13 percent before that. Most of the new cases have come up in South India and Maharashtra.

This increase in corona cases is being seen at a time when flu cases in the country have seen a spurt in recent times. Meanwhile, it is a matter of relief that there has been no increase in the death rate. However, testing has been very low and needs to be increased.

Cases increasing since 5 weeks

This is the longest Covid increase ever since the Corona wave in July last year. In 2022, between 18 and 25 July, 1.4 lakh corona cases were registered. Since then, except for three short periods of more than two weeks, there was a steady decline in Covid cases. The weekly corona case had reached 707 during January 23-29 this year.

During February 27, 2023 to March 5, a large number of the latest figures are from South India and Maharashtra. The maximum number of 473 cases were registered in Karnataka. After this, 410 cases were recorded in Kerala and 287 in Maharashtra.
