Coronavirus News: The outbreak of deaths due to corona continues in some countries. In view of the uproar created by Corona in China, the Government of India has also come in full alert mode. Cases have started increasing again in India as well. There are 2670 active cases of corona in the country. According to the data updated on Monday (January 2) morning of the Union Health Ministry, the cases of infection in the country have now increased to 4,46,78,822. With this, the number of people recovering from the infection has increased to 4,41,45,445.
Top-5 states of India where the most havoc
At present there are 2670 active cases in the country. Most active cases are in Kerala and Karnataka. More than half of the country’s corona cases are coming from Kerala only. It is followed by Karnataka and Maharashtra. There are 1,444 cases in Kerala. After that there are 326 active cases in Karnataka, 161 in Maharashtra, 88 in Odisha and 86 in Tamil Nadu.
The number of new cases being registered in the country may be less at this time but the government is in action mode. The Central Health Ministry and the State Governments are taking strict steps so that a situation like China does not arise in the country. Random testing of passengers is being done at many airports including the country’s capital Delhi.
Instructions given for genome sequencing
In the guidelines issued by the Center, it was said that instructions have been given to conduct genome sequencing of maximum samples so that new variants can be detected in time. However, experts estimate that this variant will cause minimal harm to the Indian population. It was told on the website of the Ministry of Health that under the nationwide vaccination campaign, more than 220.10 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given in the country so far.
