He said that patients who are already suffering from some serious illness may be at risk from this variant. Such people need to be more careful. At the same time, people suffering from lung disease need to be very careful with this variant and viral. Dr. Arvind said, “It is necessary for them (people suffering from lung disease) to at least get out of the house, avoid going to crowded places and if very necessary, leave the house only wearing a mask.” ‘

How dangerous is the XBB.1.16 variant?

Dr. Arvind Kumar said, “The XBB.1.16 variant is still mild.” Patients suffering from this are not being seen in a more serious condition. They rarely need to go to the hospital.
