Covid Cases in India: corona virus The increasing number of cases has once again increased the concern of the country. Till Thursday (December 22), 22 cases of JN.1 sub-variant of Covid have been reported in the country.
News agency PTI quoted sources as saying that out of 22 cases of sub-variant JN.1, 21 have come in Goa. Apart from this, a case has come to light in the southern state of Kerala. The 79-year-old woman in the southern state has no complications related to the infection. The woman was the first person to be infected with JN.1 in India. This came to light on December 8th.
Regarding all the 21 cases reported in Goa, sources said that the sub-variant JN.1 has not spread rapidly.
Who said what about JN.1?
Regarding Covid sub-variant JN.1, NITI Aayog member (Health) Dr. VK Paul said on Monday (December 18) that there is no need to take precautions. Paul said that 92 percent of all JN.1 cases are being treated at home.
What preparations were made?
Recently, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had recently held a meeting with the health ministers of states and union territories regarding Corona virus. After this Mandaviya had said that we all have to work together to deal with any kind of challenge. Our government is ready to cooperate with all the states in every way.
Let us tell you that the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared JN.1 as a ‘variant of interest’. The first case of JN.1 was reported in Luxembourg in the month of August.
