Regarding Corona, the Union Health Ministry said on Monday that ‘Sentinel Sequencing’ of 324 Kovid positive samples taken between December 29, 2022 and January 7, 2023, revealed that the presence of Omicron sub-variant was found in all of them. . These include BA.2, BA 2.75, XBB (37), BQ.1 and BQ.1.1 (5) and other variants.
The ministry said in a statement that in areas where these variants have been detected, there is no information about the increase in mortality or infection cases. In addition, XBB (11), BQ.1.1 (12) and BF7.4.1 (1) were the main variants detected in the positive samples of fifty international travelers whose samples have been genome sequenced so far.
