With this, the number of active cases in the state has increased to 194, while today 11 patients have also been discharged. The recovery rate from Covid in the state is 98.18 percent. No new patient infected with Covid variant JN.1 has been found.
According to government data, out of 3670 samples, 557 RT-PCR and 3113 RAT tests were conducted in the state on Tuesday. It is being told that among the total infected people, most are suffering from Omicron variant. According to the statement issued by the Health Department of Maharashtra, the maximum number of people are infected with Omicron in the state. So far this year, a total of 1972 people were found infected with this variant. Of these, 19 people have lost their lives.
10 patients of JN.1 variant confirmed in Maharashtra
Whereas, if we talk about JN.1 variant, a total of 10 patients in the state are infected with it. Of these, five cases have been reported in Thane, two in Pune Municipal Corporation, one each in Pune Rural, Akol Municipal Corporation and Sindhudurgh. Among these, one patient is 9 years old, some are 28 and some are above 40. Of these, 8 had taken both doses of the vaccine. It is being told that the patient from Pune has visited America. All the patients are in home isolation. All these patients had mild symptoms. 194 new cases have been reported in the state from 20 to 26 December, whereas 36 cases were reported in the previous week.
Six patients had to be admitted to ICU
Till now, maximum number of cases have been registered in Mumbai 88, Thane 30, Raigarh 19, Pune 28. According to the data released on December 25, 151 people were in home isolation while 17 patients were admitted to the hospital. Of these, 11 were in non-ICU while six were admitted to ICU.
