Covid 19 Case In India: Good news came to the fore on Sunday (April 23) amidst the increasing pace of Coronavirus in many states of the country. A 17 percent decline has been registered in the daily Kovid cases received in the country on Sunday. In the last 24 hours, 10,112 new cases of corona have been registered in the country. After which the total number of cases has increased to 4.48 crore (44,891,989). Earlier on Saturday, a total of 12,193 cases were reported in the country.
During the last week, the number of new cases of Kovid-19 in the country varied. There were 11,692 new cases on Friday while more than 12000 cases were received on Thursday. A total of 92.54 crore tests have been done so far while about 1,43,899 tests were done in the last 24 hours. The weekly positivity rate during this period was around 5.43%. Now the number of active cases in the country has increased to 67,806. So far a total of 4,42,92,854 people have recovered from this disease.
Corona situation in the country
The death toll has increased to 5,31,329 as 29 people lost their lives due to the infection. These dead also include seven more cases added after re-reconciling the death toll from Kerala. The death rate has been recorded at 1.18 percent. According to the data, the daily rate of infection was 7.03 percent. Under the nationwide anti-Covid-19 vaccination campaign, 220.66 crore doses have been given so far. The national rate of recovery from Kovid-19 is 98.66 percent.
Union Health Secretary wrote a letter to eight states
Meanwhile, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has written a letter to the eight states where an increase in Kovid-19 cases has been observed in the last few days. In a letter to Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka and Haryana, Bhushan stressed that it is important to reduce the pace of infection.
