Rouse Avenue Court on Saturday directed the Enforcement Directorate to file its reply on the plea of former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The petition has sought a copy of the requisite sanction to prosecute him in a money laundering case related to the alleged excise scam.
Special judge Kaveri Baweja gave the direction on Kejriwal’s petition. He claimed that he was not given a copy of the approval. In his petition, Kejriwal said that during the recent hearing in the High Court, ED had said that necessary approvals were taken from the concerned authorities while filing the charge sheet. The judge issued notice to the ED and directed it to file its reply by November 26, the next date of hearing.
