On Wednesday, the court in Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh, sentenced life imprisonment to three real brothers who murdered the youth. A fine of Rs 25-25 thousand was also imposed on all three. The sentence was pronounced by Judge Bhuleraam of FTC II. The prosecution was represented by ADGC Sanjeev Kumar Singh Chauhan.

The incident took place in Gadhiya Govindepur village of Bhogaon police station area. Village resident Amit Singh had gone to Alipur Kheda in a tractor along with his nephew Gaurav, Saurabh and brother-in-law Rajesh Kumar on 21 October 2012. Amit Singh was shot dead in the market of Alipur Kheda. The accused of murder was on three real brothers of the village, Rammanohar, Kushalpal, Shiv Omram and Rammanohar’s son Ashish. Gaurav lodged a murder report against all four at Bhogaon police station. The police investigated and sent the charge sheet against all four to the court.

The hearing of the case was held in the court of the judge of FTC II. On behalf of the prosecution, witnesses including the plaintiff, investigator, doctor testified in the court. On the basis of testimony, Rammanohar, Kushalpal, Shivaom Ram were found guilty of murdering Amit Singh. ADGC Sanjeev Kumar Singh Chauhan argued for strict punishment to all three. Judge Bhuleraam of FTC II has sentenced three real brothers to life imprisonment. A fine of Rs 25-25 thousand has also been imposed on all three.

Five thousand rupees fine for possessing a pistol

Police had recovered the pistols used in the murder from Ram Manohar and Kushalpal. The police had sent the charge sheet against both of them to the court on the charge of possessing a pistol. FTC II Judge Bhooleram has sentenced both of them to four years imprisonment if the charge of possessing a pistol is proved. A fine of Rs 5,000 has been imposed on him.

Case going on in Juvenile Justice Board

The police also sent a charge sheet to the court against Ashish for murdering Amit Singh. During the hearing of the case, Ashish declared himself a minor. After he was proved to be a minor, his case was sent to the Juvenile Justice Board. Ashish’s case is being heard in the Juvenile Justice Board.
