Covid 19 Sub Variant Jn 1 New Case Increases 12 Deaths Reported


Covid-19 Total Cases Today: The number of sub-variant JN-1 cases of Covid-19 across the country has increased to 619. According to PTI report, as of January 4, there are 199 cases in Karnataka, 148 in Kerala, 110 in Maharashtra, 47 in Goa, 36 in Gujarat, 30 in Andhra Pradesh, 26 in Tamil Nadu, 15 in Delhi, 4 in Rajasthan, 2 in Telangana, Haryana And one case each has been reported from Odisha.

The official said that even though the number of JN-1 variants is increasing across the country, there is no need to worry as of now, because most of the people who are infected are taking treatment at home.

Regarding this new variant of Corona, the Central Government has already asked the states and union territories to maintain surveillance. In view of the increase in the number of JN-1 variants in the country, the Center has asked the states to follow the new guidelines of Covid-19 issued by the Union Ministry.

The Department of Health and Family Welfare has asked all hospitals to monitor and report on influenza-like illness and respiratory illness due to the increasing cases of JN-1 variant.

At the same time, WHO has said about the JN-1 variant that it is not very risky. According to the data of the Union Health Ministry, a total of 761 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in the country on Friday (January 5). At the same time, 12 people died due to viral disease. Of these, 5 people died in Kerala, 4 in Karnataka, 2 in Maharashtra and one in Uttar Pradesh.

According to the data released by the ministry, there are currently 4,334 active Covid-19 cases in the country. Kerala has the highest number of active cases at 1,249. After this, there are 1,240 cases in Karnataka, 914 in Maharashtra, 190 in Tamil Nadu, 128-128 in Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh.
