COVID 19 Updates: JN.1 Corona New Sub Variant Cases Detected In India


Corona Sub-variant JN.1 Cases: The continuously increasing cases of Corona have once again started scaring people. Meanwhile, sources said that 63 cases of Corona’s new sub-variant JN.1 have been confirmed so far.

News agency PTI quoted sources as saying that the maximum number of 34 cases have come in Goa. Nine cases have been confirmed in Maharashtra, eight in Karnataka, six in Kerala, four in Tamil Nadu and two in Telangana.

More than 600 cases came in the country
Talking about the country, 628 cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the last 24 hours. During this period, one person has lost his life in Kerala. In such corona virus The number of people who lost their lives has increased to 5 lakh 33 thousand 334.

According to the data released by the Health Ministry, 4 crore 44 lakh 71 thousand 860 people have recovered from Covid. In such a situation, the national recovery rate is 98.81 percent. Whereas the death rate is 1.19 percent.

No need to panic- Dr. VK Paul
Recently, NITI Aayog (Health) member Dr VK Paul had said that sub-variant JN.1 is under watch. States need to be prepared regarding this, but do not panic.

In view of the increasing cases of Corona, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had also held a meeting with the health ministers of the states and union territories. After this Mandaviya had said that the central government is ready to cooperate with the states.

What did the World Health Organization say?
In view of the increasing cases of JN.1, the World Health Organization (WHO) has urged the countries of South-East Asia to strengthen the surveillance system. WHO has also appealed to the people to take precautionary measures.

Dr. Poonam Khetrapal Singh, Regional Director of WHO South-East Asia, said, “The COVID-19 virus continues to spread, mutate and circulate in all countries globally. Current evidence suggests that the additional public health risk posed by ZN.1 is low. “We should decide our response according to its development and keep a constant watch.”
