Police caught 18 cows loaded in two vehicles to be smuggled from Gajraula’s dairy to Karnataka. Both the DCMs (vehicles) were covered with a tarpaulin. The police arrested 11 accused including the drivers of both.

Bajrang Dal officials and workers also arrived on information in the morning and created ruckus and demanded strict action against the accused. Later Hasanpur and Mandi Dhanaura SDM, CO and CVO reached the dairy and conducted investigation.

On Monday night, Inspector Harish Vardhan Singh received information that cows were being smuggled by loading them into DCM from Nivedita Foods and Beverages Pvt. Ltd. along the highway from Shahwajpur Dor and the unpaved road leading to Khayalipur Dhal.

They are being sent to Karnataka for slaughter. After which the police reached there under the leadership of Chowpla outpost incharge. By then 18 cows had been loaded into two DCMs. A tarpaulin was covered and a rope was tied. Seeing the police who suddenly arrived, the accused tried to run away.

Police detained 11 accused. The DCM was captured and brought to the police station. When interrogated, the accused confessed to taking them to Karnataka. On Tuesday morning, on information about smuggling of cows, Bajrang Dal workers like Saraswat, Kushal Chaudhary, Yogesh Chaudhary etc. reached the spot.

At the same time, the team of veterinarians along with Hasanpur SDM Bhagat Singh, Dhanaura SDM Chandrakanta, CO Mandi Dhanaura Shwetabh Bhaskar, Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Khushiram reached there. Bajrang Dal officials also had an altercation with SDM Mandi Dhanaura.

The animals kept in the dairy were very weak. The condition of two cows was very critical. Couldn’t get away from them. One’s legs were tied. Due to which it seemed that an attempt was made to load it into the DCM at night. CO Shwetabh Bhaskar said that a case is being registered against 11 accused. The matter is being investigated.

Everyone was shocked when the case of smuggling of cattle in the name of dairy came to light. Police arrested Manjunath, Ravi, Venkatachal Pathi, Mohammed Anif, S Suresh, N Madhusudan resident of Karnataka, Mukesh resident of Patei Khadar village of Rahara police station area of ​​Amroha, Lokesh resident of Sher Khan Butipuri of Mursan police station area of ​​Hathras, Sangam Lal of Madhubani, Bihar. Yadav, Rahul, resident of Tigriya Khadar village of Gajraula police station area, Hariram Sangam Vihar, New Delhi were arrested and a case was registered against them.

The cows which have been loaded in DCM are being sent to cowsheds. Employees have been deployed to provide fodder etc. to 87 cows including children left in the dairy. If needed, they will also be sent to cow shelters. – Bhagat Singh SDM Hasanpur
