In Gopalganj district of Bihar, the police team which had come to arrest the absconding accused in a liquor case was attacked by liquor smugglers. In this attack, two vehicles of Dial 112 were damaged, while the driver was injured. The seriously injured driver has been admitted to Thawe Primary Health Center for immediate treatment. This incident took place under the overbridge located in Videshi Tola of Thawe police station area. The injured driver has been identified as Shambhu Nath Singh.
According to the information, late on Saturday night, a joint team of Thawe police station and Dial 112 reached the house of the accused wanted in a liquor case in Videshi Tola to arrest him. Meanwhile, to save the accused, his family members attacked the police team. The angry people also completely damaged two vehicles of Dial 112. In this attack, the driver of one of the vehicles of Dial 112, Shambhu Nath Singh, got injured.
Superintendent of Police Swarn Prabhat said that based on the information, the team of Thawe police station and Dial 112 reached to arrest liquor mafia Surendra Yadav, resident of Videshi Tola village. Surendra Yadav is a wanted accused in the liquor scandal and has also gone to jail in the past in the liquor scandal. During the arrest, the police team was attacked by his family members, due to which a policeman got injured. The condition of the driver is normal.
He said that one of the attackers, Nagendra Yadav, has been arrested. Raids are on to arrest the others. Under no circumstances will those who attack the police be spared. The attackers are being traced, after identification, legal action will be taken against all of them.
