Godkar was murdered with a knife while a constable was patrolling in Delhi’s Govindpuri area. The accused of murder was arrested by the Crime Branch team during the encounter on Saturday. Miscreant Deepak had stabbed constable Kiran Pal to death on Friday night.
According to police officials, Kiranpal was found lying in street number-13 of Govindpuri in the early hours of Saturday. There were stab marks on his stomach and chest. The murder of a Delhi Police constable has created a stir in the Delhi Police and senior police officers reached the spot. The constable was in uniform and a government motorcycle was also found lying nearby. This type of case of murder of a policeman in uniform has come to light for the first time in Delhi.
