On Tuesday, on the Ekadashi of Magh month in Mathura, a crowd of people of faith gathered in Braj of Kanha. Religious events took place in temples. There was a huge crowd of devotees in Banke Bihari Temple of Vrindavan. In the morning the devotees also played Holi with Banke Bihari. Devotees also took parikrama. The streets of Vrindavan kept echoing with the chants of Radhe-Radhe.
Devotees reached the Dwarkadhish temple of Mathura in the morning to have darshan of the deity. Thakurji was specially decorated here. The consecration of Thakurji’s Shrivigraha was done with chanting of mantras in the ancient Keshavdev temple. The steps of the devotees did not stop even on the parikrama route in Govardhan. The Parikrama Marg kept resonating with the cheers of Thakurji throughout the day. There was crowd in other temples of the pilgrimage city also. A large number of devotees from different states including Delhi-Haryana have come for darshan. Due to this, there was traffic jam on many routes including Prem Mandir Tiraha, Vidyapeeth Square, Hundred Foot Road Entry Point and Atalla.
Here, the foothills echoed with the cheers of Girirajji. Thousands of devotees circumambulated. From midnight itself, the devotees started circumambulating the Daanghati temple after performing milk anointment of Girirajji. The crowd increased further during the day. Giriraj foothills were immersed in the ocean of devotion due to the crowd of devotees. Administration arrangements collapsed in front of the crowd. Devotees faced problems due to entry of vehicles on the parikrama route.
