Congress Working Committee Meet: The two-day meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) concluded on Sunday (17 September). In this, the party showed confidence in its full preparation for the fight before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and the assembly elections to be held later this year.
Concluding the CWC meeting, Congress claimed that it will get a decisive mandate in the assembly elections to be held in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Rajasthan and Telangana this year.
‘Congress is fully prepared for the fight’
The CWC resolution said, “The resolution reaffirms the preparedness of the party organization for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, scheduled to be held in April-May 2024. The Congress Party is fully prepared for the battle ahead. It is confident that That people want change. We will fulfill their expectations of law and order, freedom, social and economic justice, equality and equity.”

The two-day meeting of the party’s newly formed CWC was held under the chairmanship of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and was attended by several top leaders, including Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) president Sonia Gandhi and others.

At the same time, on the first day of the meeting (16 September), Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had advised the party leaders not to fall into the trap of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and focus on the people’s issues.
