In Aligarh, 18 thousand rupees were swindled from the account of a youth of village Jalokhari of Pisawa police station area. Here, 30 thousand rupees were swindled from a farmer of village Karah Kadilpur in the name of getting his nephew arrested. In both the cases, the victims have lodged a complaint on the cyber crime portal.

The accused duped Pardesi, a resident of village Jalokhari, of Rs 18,000 on the phone by claiming to be his brother’s friend. The victim said that the accused first sent him a screenshot of Rs 10,000 and Rs 20,000 being deposited in his account. After that, he asked him to keep Rs 12,000 and return Rs 18,000 as he had to give it to someone.

The victim fell for his words and put the 18 thousand rupees back on the number given by the accused. Meanwhile, a message came that the account was frozen. On this, the young man reached the bank and got the account activated. When he checked, he found out that he had been cheated of 18 thousand rupees. Not a single rupee had come into his account, although he had definitely given the money. The victim has lodged a complaint on the cyber crime portal.

Similarly, Khan Mohammad of village Karah Kadilpur also received a call from thugs who claimed to be police. They were told that the nephew has been arrested in some case. On hearing this, the family panicked and started demanding thirty thousand rupees to release the nephew. The sound of the nephew being beaten and crying was also heard. The worried family put money on the accused’s number. After all this, when the nephew was talked to on his phone, it was found that they have been cheated. The victim has reported the incident on the cyber crime portal.
