Border Security Force ‘BSF’ jawans gear up to save people in the border areas of Gujarat from Cyclone Biparjoy. The force has formed Quick Response Teams equipped with life saving equipment. In case of any emergency, these teams will reach the people without any delay. BSF has extended a helping hand to the border population residing in Kutch.

Cyclone Biparjoy is expected to make landfall near Jakhau coast by the evening of June 15. The BSF deployed in the coastal areas has stepped up its efforts to help the villagers of the border areas in this hour of crisis. BSF has extended a helping hand to avert the impending crisis by adhering to its unwavering commitment to security aimed at protecting valuable lives, upholding human dignity and instilling a sense of security among the border population.

Took refuge in BSF camps

BSF has provided shelter to the villagers to ensure their safety in these critical times. 150 villagers from Thumri and Valavariwand villages have taken shelter in the BSF camp. BSF has made suitable adjustments to provide necessary facilities to the villagers. Among those taking shelter, 34 are children. Apart from this there are also senior citizens and women. BSF is providing necessary assistance to these villagers by providing drinking water, food, medical and maintaining hygiene standards.

The villagers of Gunau were kept in the camp

Earlier, BSF has accommodated around 100 villagers of Gunau in one of its camps, demonstrating its commitment to protect the lives of the border population in the face of adversity. Apart from providing shelter and essential provisions, BSF has also prepared Quick Response Teams equipped with life saving equipment, which will be available immediately after the cyclone to assist the civil administration, if required. Border Security Force is leaving no stone unturned in its efforts to ensure protection and assistance to the valuable human lives affected by Cyclone Biperjoy.
