‘Chhaap tilak sab chinni re mose naina milike. You did not say anything important, please meet my eyes…’. It was a mild cool evening on Wednesday and a moderate song was echoing from the background and dancer Sahira Singh on the stage, whose Kuchipudi dance performance mesmerized everyone. A similar scene was seen during the Rangpravesham event at Kamani Auditorium of Mandi House.
Sahira displayed her amazing talent in a program based on Kuchipudi dance. It started with Ganpati Vandan. During this, the artists from behind sang Carnatic and Sahira was seen entering the stage with folded hands. Later, the people present in the auditorium were impressed by her skills and the dancer gradually managed to win over everyone with her performance. He praised Ganesha with his dance. After this, in Dashavatar, he incorporated ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu in his dance. These included various incarnations including Matsya, Ram, Balram. She was seen dancing to the beats of the songs.
As if the dancer was lost in her dance. The magic of her dance spread so much in the entire auditorium that people kept their eyes fixed on the stage till the end of the performance. The atmosphere became even more interesting when they performed on Amir Khusro’s popular songs Chhap Tilak Sab Cheeni and Tarangam. There was a unique dance performance called Tarangam, where they danced on top of the plate. It was so attractive that the audience stood up and applauded at its conclusion. Also saluted his talent. Under the guidance of Guru Dr. Raja Radha Reddy and Guru Kaushalya Reddy, Sahira spread the magic of her talent on the stage.
