In Tektar village of Kamtaul police station area of Darbhanga district of Bihar, the in-laws threw the woman out of the house along with her three innocent children for dowry. After this, the victim Nasreen Parveen has lodged an FIR in Kamtaul police station against her husband Gufran Imam, mother-in-law Samina Khatoon and brother-in-law Mohammad Imran Imam for dowry harassment.
In the FIR lodged, she has alleged that she had happily married Gufran Imam on 22 December 2018 as per Muslim customs. In these six years, she had three children. After so many days, now her husband, mother-in-law and brother-in-law started pressuring her to get an Apache bike, one lakh rupees in cash and a lot of gold from her parents. When she opposed this, everyone started beating her and torturing her in various ways. She was somehow managing to live there.
The victim further stated in the FIR that meanwhile on the night of 27 May, her in-laws started beating her. When the neighbours came after hearing the commotion, they immediately pacified the matter by counselling them. But the next day her in-laws snatched all her jewellery and threatened her with divorce and threw her out of the house along with her three innocent children. Regarding the case, the Kamtaul police station in-charge said that an FIR has been registered on the application of the victim. Action will be taken after investigating the case.
