In this match being played at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium, David Warner won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, Punjab scored 167 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. Prabhsimran Singh hit a stormy century. He played an inning of 103 runs in 65 balls. In this innings, the Punjab opener hit 10 fours and 6 sixes. This is the first century of his IPL career. Singh, who scored 27 runs in the first 30 balls, scored 76 runs in the next 35 balls.
With this, Prabhsimran also made a special record in his name. He has joined the exclusive club of Rishabh Pant and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Actually Singh is the sixth youngest player to score a century in IPL. He scored an IPL century at the age of 22 years, 276 days. Earlier Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Devdutt Padikkal, Rishabh Pant and Manish Pandey have also done this feat.

After the century, Prabhsimran Singh said, I thought of taking time and converting the loose ball. As I started the season, I wanted to make it a good season. The pitch was difficult for batting but easy for set batsmen. In domestic cricket also, I celebrate like this. It was easy to play fast bowlers on this wicket and the balls were in my slot. We were thinking of 170 and we got close to that.
