Kannauj News: A DCM coming from behind at a high speed rammed into a container parked on the side of GT Road. Five people travelling in the DCM died in the accident. Two drivers are also among the dead. Police suspect that the accident happened due to the driver dozing off. Three of the dead were from Amethi and two from Jaunpur.

In the Kannauj road accident in which five people including two DCM drivers died, DCM driver Sonu’s father Omprakash said that he had spoken to his son on the phone on Thursday. He had said that he would be home by Friday evening, but before that the news of the accident came in the morning. He said that Sonu was the younger of two brothers and the elder brother is Umesh.
The other driver Santosh Kumar’s family includes his wife and two children. DCM owner Hasnain, a resident of Alhaj Ashrafpur, Raebareli, said that both Sonu and Santosh used to drive the DCM. It is not known who was driving the DCM at the time of the accident.
