On October 30, 1990, Hindu organizations had openly challenged the state government by announcing to perform Kar Seva at Ramjanmabhoomi in Ayodhya. Mulayam Singh Yadav was the Chief Minister of the state. Accepting the challenge of Hindu organizations and BJP, he had said that no matter who talks about Kar Sevaks touching the Babri structure, even Parinda will not be able to kill it. After that the kar sevaks made a strategy to go there.

When a group reached the house of Kanhaiya Singh of Dhebra village of Uruwa block, his daughter-in-law had passed away. There was a dead body lying at the door. Still he stopped the kar sevaks. Gave them food. Crossed the Kuano river by boat at night. Also made arrangements to stay in a village in Basti district. Sheshnath Singh, resident of Gambhirpur village of Kaudiram block, shared his memories of Kar Seva.

Sheshnath Singh has been a big official of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He tells that Ramnidhi Singh of his village has been associated with the Sangh for a long time. He was the middle school master. After retirement he started living in a temple in Ayodhya. He was looking after the work of RSS. When Advani left for Ayodhya with a chariot from Somnath, he was staying in Ramjanaki temple in Ayodhya itself.
