Nikhil Tyagi/Saharanpur: A strange case has come to light in Saharanpur. Haridwar, a resident of village Chirau of Badgaon area, had gone to Haridwar on 29 January. The family members considered him dead and even performed his last rites. When he reached home after a week, all the family members were surprised to see him. On one hand the mother was happy to see her son alive. Everyone was surprised to see the young man wandering here and there. Everyone started running away out of fear. People said that a ghost has come into the house. The question arose as to whose son the family members performed the last rites after recognizing their son.
According to the information, Chandra Prajapati, resident of village Chirau of Badgaon police station area of Saharanpur, has three sons in his family. The second son, Pramod Kumar, had left home on January 29 saying he would get a job at a dhaba in Haridwar. On January 31, Muzaffarnagar Police released a photo of the dead body of an unidentified youth on social media. Seeing the photo of that dead body, there was an uproar among Pramod’s family members. After which the family members reached Muzaffarnagar mortuary and identified the unknown body as that of Pramod. After the post-mortem process, the police handed over the body to Pramod’s family.

Pramod’s father Chandra Prajapati along with family members reached Muzaffarnagar mortuary carrying Pramod’s photo. Where the police identified the body on the basis of matching it with the photo. A cut mark was seen near the right eye of the unidentified deceased youth and the letters PK were seen written on his hand. A similar mark was also visible on Pramod’s eye. After identification, Chandra Prajapati and others brought the body to the village and the family cremated the body in a sad atmosphere.
The shopkeeper shouted – “Run, run, the ghost has come!”
The family had also performed the turban ceremony of Pramod on 5th February in the presence of villagers and relatives. But suddenly in the evening on the day of Rasm Pagri, Pramod reached his home in the village. Seeing Pramod in the village, people started shouting ‘ghost’ in filmy style. When Pramod asked a shopkeeper for a cold drink, the shopkeeper got scared thinking Pramod was a ghost and hid himself in the shop.

The news of Pramod being alive spread like wildfire in the village. There was no limit to the happiness of the family members after seeing Pramod alive. After coming home, Pramod got furious after seeing the garland on his photo. The mother, who had been crying continuously for seven days due to the separation from her son, saw her son Pramod and the mother hugged her son and caressed him for a long time. Pramod’s sister also jumped with joy when her brother came back alive.
