In Mumfordganj, state vice president of BJP Yuva Morcha and former president of IVSU student union Rohit Mishra was attacked with sharp weapons late on Thursday night. Two people riding a Safari attacked him with sharp weapons. His head was injured due to this. The attackers continued to attack him even after this. Police have filed a report against two unknown persons on the basis of the Safari’s number.

Rohit Kumar Mishra, son of Devendra Nath Mishra, is originally from Senani Nagar, Karanpur, Pratapgarh. Currently, he lives in Vinayak Vihar Apartment, Balrampur House, Mumfordganj. He was elected Allahabad University Students Union President in 2016. In 2021, he was made the state vice-president of BJYM. He told that after having dinner at around 1:15 pm on Thursday night, he went out for a walk.

Meanwhile, an attempt was made to crush him with a white Safari coming at a high speed. Somehow he saved his life by running away. After this, the Safari driver got down with another person and attacked him with a sharp weapon. His head was split in the sudden attack and he fell on the ground.

Even after this, with the intention of killing him, he was attacked repeatedly on his hands, legs and other parts of the body. He lost consciousness in the attack. When he regained consciousness, his chain and purse, which had Rs 2200, were missing. Rohit said that he does not know who the attackers were and why they attacked him. He does not have any dispute with them. In the morning, he reached the police station and filed a written complaint.
