They are present during the hearing in the police station day and are also sent for disposal. The problem is also that people avoid complaining in front of those against whom they have complaints.

The complainants are not confident that their problem will be resolved within the police station day, hence they are turning to the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police office. Officers arrived at the police station on the day but the chairs arranged for the complainants to sit remained empty. The officers kept waiting for the complainants. In some police stations, complaints were resolved on the spot, in others instructions for resolution were issued.

There are 11 police stations including women’s police station in the district. In these, Police Station Day was organized on Saturday. Of these, 35 complaints were received. Whereas every day about 25 people approach the Superintendent of Police with their complaints. At the District Magistrate’s place this number is even higher. Nine complaints have been received in Sikandrarau, not a single complainant has reached Sahpau police station. Four complaints were received in Hasayan, two were resolved on the spot.
