Due to bad weather, the flight going from Dubai to Jaipur was diverted and landed at New Delhi airport. Fed up with the delay in taking off from here, a passenger tweeted tagging Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. In the tweet, he said that the plane has been hijacked. After this, the security agencies searched the entire aircraft. The plane stood at the airport for about five hours. After the search, the aircraft was dispatched to Jaipur.

The passenger who tweeted about the plane being hijacked has been arrested at the Delhi airport. The arrested passenger Moti Singh Rathore is a resident of Nagaur district of Rajasthan. This is the case on January 25 at around 9.30 pm. The flight was coming from Dubai to Jaipur but was diverted to Delhi.

The person who had written about being hijacked, later tweeted and expressed regret for his actions. The passenger said that he does not know English well, so he wrote hijacked. In fact, he had written this in anger because of the delay in the flight. Also apologized for this act.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Airport) Ravi Kumar Singh said that Moti Singh Rathore, a resident of Rajasthan’s Nagaur, was offloaded from the flight along with his bag and was allowed to board the flight after necessary checks. He was handed over to the local police for further action, he added. He said the accused told the police that he posted the tweet as he was frustrated over the flight getting stuck.
