Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal told a story in the assembly on Monday. With the help of this story, he attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi without naming him. He accused the central government of misusing central investigative agencies and put the BJP in the dock on the Adani controversy. Kejriwal made this address after nine hours of rigorous questioning by the CBI. At the same time, the BJP has alleged that Arvind Kejriwal misuses the platform of the Delhi Assembly to attack the central government. The party accused it of constitutional institutions.

Addressing the one-day assembly session, Arvind Kejriwal said, “Once an astrologer told a mother that her son would become a king one day. The son studied till fourth and started selling tea at a station. Later he became a king.” When he went, he gave all the properties to his friend.

Raising the issue of misuse of central agencies, he hinted that anyone who spoke against the king was jailed. In the story, he described himself as an honest Chief Minister and a leader who does better work for the public. But said that since then he came under the target of the king and he was being harassed.

‘Misuse of assembly to abuse Modi’

Attacking the Arvind Kejriwal government, BJP leader and MP Parvesh Verma said that the Delhi government uses the assembly platform to abuse Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that even before this, Arvind Kejriwal had made objectionable remarks about Prime Minister Modi by calling a session of the Delhi Legislative Assembly, this time also he will do the same thing. He said that till people did not know the truth of Arvind Kejriwal, his allegations used to go on, but after the cases of liquor scam-education scam and corruption in every department came to the fore, now no one believes him. The BJP leader had earlier challenged the Chief Minister that if Arvind Kejriwal sees truth in his statements and has the courage, then he should level the same allegations against the Prime Minister outside the assembly.

Why does the chief minister speak in the assembly?

In fact, criminal legal action cannot be taken against public representatives for any speech given on the stage of assembly or parliament. This arrangement was made in the constitution so that the people’s representatives can speak without any fear. The BJP alleges that Arvind Kejriwal, taking advantage of this system, targets the Prime Minister and makes baseless comments on him.
