The year 2025 has started and with this the political arena has also become ready. In 2025, the first political riot will take place in the country’s capital Delhi. Its dates have been announced. According to the schedule released by the Election Commission, elections will be held simultaneously for 70 assembly seats of Delhi. Voting for this will be held on 5th February and the results of the election will be released on 8th February. According to the Election Commission, the last date for filing nomination papers in Delhi is January 17 and the scrutiny of nomination papers will take place till January 18.

Bihar’s turn after Delhi
After the capital Delhi, the country’s eyes will be on Bihar. Assembly elections are to be held in October-November in this state, which is called the laboratory of Indian politics. There are 243 assembly seats in Bihar. If sources are to be believed, elections may be held in two to three phases in Bihar. Even though there is still time for Bihar elections, political stakes have started here and all the parties are trying to woo the voters in their own way. The assembly elections held in Bihar in 2020 were conducted in three phases. Here NDA came to power by winning 125 out of 243 seats.
By-elections will be held in many states
Apart from the assembly elections, by-elections are also to be held on the assembly seats of many states this year. The hottest seat in this is Milkipur assembly seat of Uttar Pradesh. This seat comes in Ayodhya (Faizabad) Lok Sabha seat. From where Samajwadi Party’s Awadhesh Prasad surprised everyone by winning the elections. Apart from this, two seats from Jammu and Kashmir and one seat each from Gujarat, Kerala and Tamil Nadu assembly are included.
By-election will be held on this Lok Sabha seat also
By-elections can also be held on Basirhat Loksabha seat of West Bengal this year. Trinamool Congress leader Haji Nurul Islam was the MP from Basirhat. However, he died on September 25, 2024, due to which the seat became vacant. In such a situation, the Election Commission can announce by-election on this seat also this year.
