The State Congress on Sunday organized a silent satyagraha at Jantar Mantar against the policies of the Central Government, the deteriorating situation in the country, communal violence in Manipur and the attempt to suppress Rahul Gandhi’s voice raised for the poor. All Congress leaders and workers joined the Satyagraha by tying black bands on their hands.

On this occasion, state in-charge Deepak Babaria said that the way two women were stripped naked and brutalized in the Manipur riots, there is anger in the whole country. Manipur has been burning for more than two and a half months. BJP’s Manipur government has completely failed to control the violence and riots.

On the other hand, it is unethical to try to suppress former Congress President Rahul Gandhi for raising his voice against the poor and the atrocities being committed on them. State President Ch. Anil Kumar pointed out that Manipur has been burning and disturbed for the last two and a half months, but the Modi government woke up to the dire situation in the north eastern state only when Rahul Gandhi visited Manipur.

He met the displaced people to advise peace and also met the Governor of the state and requested him to bring peace and order in the state, but both the Chief Minister and the Prime Minister of Manipur are not making efforts to bring peace in the troubled state.

On this occasion, All India Congress Committee General Secretary Tariq Anwar, former state presidents Ajay Maken, Jai Prakash Aggarwal and Arvinder Singh Lovely, former Union Minister Krishna Tirath, Uttarakhand in-charge Devendra Yadav, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh in-charge Manish Chatrath, former ministers Harun Yusuf, Dr. Narendra Nath and Kiran Walia, former MP Ramesh Kumar, media communication department chairman Anil Bhardwaj and former MLAs, corporation councilors. , former corporators, district president, block president etc. were present.
