Delhi Corona News: On Saturday, 416 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in the national capital, which is the highest daily figure in seven months. According to the bulletin issued by the Health Department, the Kovid infection rate in the city also remained at a high level of 14.37 percent.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a review meeting on Friday to address the concerns arising out of the increase in the number of Covid cases. He assured the residents of Delhi that the government is implementing all necessary measures and there is no immediate reason to panic.
Total number of covid cases 4.47 crore
The Union Health Ministry on Saturday released the data of 2,994 new cases of Kovid-19 in the country in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases increased to 16,354, taking the total number of Covid cases in the country to 4.47 crore.
The death toll rose to 5,30,876 with nine deaths in a single day, including two each from Delhi, Karnataka and Punjab, one from Gujarat, and two from Kerala.
According to the Ministry of Health, active Covid cases in India account for only 0.04 per cent of the total infections, with a recovery rate of 98.77 per cent. The daily infection rate was recorded at 2.09 percent, while the weekly infection rate was 2.03 percent.
