Delhi Crime: A shameful incident happened with an innocent child in Delhi. A 23-year-old youth raped a 13-year-old girl, due to which she became pregnant. She gave birth to a child, but the child died in no time.
This incident is being reported from Samaypur Badli in outer Delhi. The investigating police officers told the media about this on Thursday. According to the police, the accused has been arrested after this incident. He has been identified as Sujit (name fictitious), who used to work as a driver.
Shameful incident with minor in Delhi
According to the girl’s relatives, the matter came to light on January 12 when the victim’s mother saw her daughter’s stomach protruding out. The victim’s mother said, “When I talked to the daughter, she told me about the youth who raped her and said that she is six months pregnant.” After this, the family took the girl to the hospital and the medical test confirmed her pregnancy. After this the matter was informed to the police.

According to a senior police officer associated with the case, the victim’s family told the police that the girl was taken to the hospital as she started bleeding. The officer said, “The victim said that the youth had given her some food to get her aborted. On the basis of this statement, a case was registered against the accused.
The accused was absconding, the police caught
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer-North) Devesh Mahal said that a case was registered in this matter on January 13, under sections 376 (punishment for rape) and 315 (with intent to prevent a child from being born alive) of the POCSO Act. The offense committed was registered under. The police officer further said that the accused has been identified as Sujit, a resident of Siraspur. He was absconding, but was arrested later that day after raids by police teams.
The victim is admitted in the hospital
According to the officials probing the case, the accused is a driver by profession. The police is still ascertaining how he came in contact with the girl. Police said that the girl gave birth to a child on Wednesday, but the child died soon after birth. At present, the victim is out of danger but admitted in the hospital.
