A young man was shot dead by friends in a dispute over seeking loan back in Kapashera area. All the friends were partying in the car at the time of the incident. Police have arrested an accused while investigating the case. Raids are on in search of the absconding accused.
The deceased has been identified as Dharmendra alias Sonu. He lived with his family in Samalkha village. He was a driver by profession and was driving his Ertiga car on hire to a company. Dharmendra’s mother Sunaina Devi informed the police about her son being shot at 1.33 am on March 18. The family took the injured Dharmendra to Safdarjung Hospital. The police who reached there came to know that Dharmendra was partying with friends in his car in the area itself. Meanwhile, a friend shot him from close range when there was an argument between them on some issue. After inspecting the spot, the police registered a case of attempt to murder. Investigation revealed that Karan, Afroz and Salman along with others were present in the party along with Dharmendra.
Dharmendra died in the hospital on Sunday afternoon. The police intensified the search for the accused by adding the section of murder in this case. Late in the evening the police arrested Karan. Police seized a pistol and car from his possession. During interrogation, Karan told that Afroz had borrowed money from Dharmendra. He was asking for them back. In the dispute regarding this matter, Afroz shot him in the temple. Dharmendra’s brother Phool Babu told that the deceased had lent 50 thousand rupees to Afroz. The police officer says that a case of assault is already going on against the arrested Karan.
