The BJP had promised to give free cylinders to women on Holi in Delhi. But till now women have not got the benefit of free cylinder. Learn what is the latest update about this.

Free cylinder was to be found on Holi

Before the Delhi Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party in its resolution letter had talked about giving free cylinders to the women of Delhi on festivals i.e. Diwali and Holi. And now that the BJP government has been formed in Delhi. So according to the promise made in the resolution letter, the women of Delhi should have got free cylinder on Holi. But let us tell you that till now the women of Delhi have not received free cylinders.

Nor has any announcement of any kind has been made by the Delhi government regarding this. From the recent Aam Aadmi Party, there has also been a sit -in demonstration on the ITO. In which the demonstration was held with the hoarding of ‘Holi Aaye Free Cylinder when’, surrounding the BJP government.

When can you get free cylinder?

For the women of Delhi, the BJP had made many promises in its resolution letter before the government elections. In which it was also said to give free cylinders on festivals. However, today is Holi on 14 March. But till now the women of Delhi have not been able to get free cylinder. But about this, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has recently said that ‘If we had talked about the cylinder on the festivals, it will also be found and its announcement will also be done soon’.

Which women will get benefit?

Not all women of Delhi will get the benefit of Delhi government’s free cylinder scheme. The benefit of the scheme is available only to women taking benefits under the Ujjwala scheme. Talking in Delhi, there is 2.59 lakh Ujjwala gas connection. These will get free cylinders from the Delhi government.
