Expansion
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal dedicated another BR Ambedkar School of Specialized Excellence in Rohini Sector 18 to the people of Delhi. With this, the number of excellence schools has now increased to 37 in Delhi. This school is one of the best schools in the country. From April 14, the process for studying in this school will be started.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the facilities and infrastructure are better than well-known private schools like DPS, Goenka. There was a time when the children of the poor used to study in government schools, they used to have inferiority complex. Now the children of Delhi proudly say that they study in government schools. Delhi Government had a new type of experiment which was successful. The children of this school prepare for special subjects from the 9th standard itself.
Children will gain expertise in 21st century skills by learning Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). The Chief Minister informed that 92 thousand students have applied for admission in about 4400 seats in such schools for the academic session 2023-24. Such a long line does not seem to be seen even for many renowned private schools, as it is seen for admission in the specialized government schools of the Delhi government.
