Delhi HC Rejects CA Exam Postponement Plea: Delhi High Court has rejected the demand to postpone ICAI CA May exam 2024. Now CA Inter and Final examinations will be conducted by Chartered Accountants of India as per their scheduled time. There will be no change in the exam schedule. In this regard, 27 students had filed a petition in the Delhi High Court and demanded that Lok Sabha ElectionsKeeping this in view, the examinations should be postponed. While hearing this case, the court has given its verdict.

While filing the petition, these students had given many arguments in which they had said that during the elections, various kinds of problems arise from transportation to other matters. Therefore the examination should not be conducted during this period. In response to this, the court has rejected all the arguments and said that there is no rule that examinations should not be conducted at the time of elections.
Court reprimanded
During the hearing, the court not only refused to change the dates but also reprimanded the petitioners’ lawyers for their arguments. His lawyer said that this is one of the most difficult examinations and the use of loud speakers etc. causes problems in studies. On this, the court said that if such candidates are not able to study due to general elections, then there is no use of such candidates becoming CA.
If you are not ready then do not take the exam
The court also said that more than 4 lakh candidates will be affected by this decision and the problems faced by some students cannot be used to create problems for all the other candidates. The bench also said that if you do not feel prepared to take the exam or are feeling any problem then do not give the exam. There will be no change in the schedule, it will be held on the scheduled date only.
